Level 3 Dance Performance

Note: You might not learn Hip Hop in this course.
In this course, you will:
- learn up to two dance genres.
- One of the dances will be a group dance
- The other dance will be either a duet or solo.
You must be taking both dance courses for it to count towards UE. However, there is a possibility there will not be enough numbers for both Level 3 dance courses to run.

Assessment Information
Perform a group dance involves:
reproducing the movements of the group dance in accordance with the
demonstration or description. The dancer demonstrates technical requirements
such as:
- clarity of movements and shapes
- generally accurate timing in relation to others
- the ability to maintain spatial relationships
- differentiation of the expressive qualities of the dance
the ability to interact with others
maintaining of focus
demonstrating some dynamic qualities.
Perform a solo or duet dance
reproducing the movements of a duet dance in accordance with the
demonstration or description. The dancer demonstrates technical requirements
such as:
- clarity of movements and shapes
- generally accurate timing
- appropriate size of the movement and use of space
- maintaining focus
- demonstrating some dynamic qualities.
