Course Description

This course will challenge the current skills of those students who have progressed from level 1 and 2 and who are deliberately using Te Reo Māori in their own context and environment. This course does offer UE approved standards


Recommended Prior Learning

Students will need to have studied Te Reo Māori up to levels 7 or 8, or have come from a Kura Kaupapa or Te Wharekura in order to achieve all of the prescribed standards at level 3. Any student completing Waihanga Tuhinga at this Level will be expected to manage their self-directed learning to complete the tasks. Previous students from level 2 Māori who have completed Whakarongo and Waihanga Tuhinga may continue on with level 3 Whakarongo and Waihanga Tuhinga. To do Kōrero (6 credits) Pānui, and Tuhi will be by negotiation.
