Recommended Prior LearningRequirements for Year 13 Tongan:
It would be beneficial if you have also taken the Semester 1 - 3TNGA course.
Students MUST have taken Tongan at Year 12 ...OR... Approval of HOD Languages.
Students need to have a strong grasp of Tongan and can demonstrate strong spoken and written competency in the language. Students MUST be willing to stand and present speeches in spoken Lea Faka-Tonga. Students MUST participate in class and contribute to class discussions.
In this Semester course, students communicate in Lea Faka-Tonga with the focus on communicating beyond their immediate context, exploring and justifying ideas and opinions - that is communicating ideas and opinions about past and future events as well as exploring and justifying those ideas and opinions.
