Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms J. Lauaki.

In this Semester, we will look at some of the customary rituals of Fa'a Samoa such as learning how protocol applies during  Samoan special occasions like the Ava Ceremony. Additionally, as part of one of the assessments students will be going on a day trip to the Maritime Museum in Auckland city to learn more about how our Samoan people navigated and settled in the islands.

Recommended Prior Learning

Requirements for Level 1 Samoan: 

It would be beneficial if you have also taken the Semester 1 - 1SMAS course.
