Students wishing to enter this course will need to have studied Te Reo Māori at Year 9 and ideally at Year 10. All students who enter this course will be screened, if results satisfy criteria a place will be offered, if it does not a place in the course may be denied. The Te Pokaitahi program will consist of a mixture of unit standards (possibly upto 60 credits) aimed at developing fundamental korero, tuhituhi, panui and whakarongo skills. Students are expected to be effective self managers capable of co-operative and self-directed learning to complete the tasks.
