Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr S. Dowsett.

The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities for students to participate in regular activities, encounter new experiences and develop leadership skills. The second semester of Sports Leadership offers students the chance to learn about leadership styles while applying these to a coaching context. Students will then get the opportunity to coach small groups at Papakura Intermediate school. The largely practical component of this course allows students the opportunity to reflect on their leadership learning within a real-world context and offers an exciting insight and pathway into the sports and recreation industry.
