Introduction to Level 3 Art Design

Course Description

This course is for students who are leaning towards a career in the creative industries and would like more time developing skills in Design. This course will be student-led with students able to choose from a variety of design processes and themes to develop artworks. 

Students will research art making traditions and influences on recent Design practice. Developing appropriate skills to generate, analyse and clarify students’ own ideas and gain an understanding of using mediums, processes and approaches relevant to Design in order to create original art work. 

*Successful completion of NCEA Level 2 Design is recommended for this course or at the discretion of the HOD Art.
