Course Description

The Level 1 Science course focuses on examining the impact that various food choices have on our well-being, on all four pillars of Te Whare Tapa Wha. It will allow students to investigate in more depth the life processes that enable our bodies to maintain good health. We will be focusing on nutrition and the impact unhealthy choices can have on our well-being. This will be analyzed using a range of scientific investigative approaches. An in-depth focus will be the consumption of sugary foods and the impact this has on our community and on our rangatahi, with the goal being to form  response to address the issue hence showing kaitiakitanga for our whānau and future generations.
