Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms J. Lauaki.

In this Semester, we will look at some of the customary rituals of Fa'a Samoa such as learning how protocol applies during  Samoan special occasions like the Ava Ceremony. Additionally, as part of the ONE Internal assessment students will be going on a day trip (TBC) to experience first hand different aspects of Samoan Culture, and apply knowledge that is learned in class.  There is also ONE External examination at the end of the Semester.

Recommended Prior Learning

Requirements for Level 1 Samoan: 

It would be beneficial if you have also taken the Semester 1 - 1SMAA course.

OR...

An interest in learning the Samoan language and culture.
