Level 3 Technology (Hard Materials) Semester 1
Course Description
Teacher in Charge:
Semester 1 Hard Materials
The Stage 3 BCATS project allows students to develop and enhance a range of skills and knowledge and to apply them naturally as they undertake their project. This is a hands-on course. It is an innovative, practical and multi-disciplinary programme for students, providing them with the skills and knowledge to enter into any career in the construction industry. The programme is primarily workshop-based and we use wood in the workshop as our predominant material. Students focus on larger projects such as outdoor furniture and those that require more skills that are developed from their Year 12 (Level 2) curriculum. These are focused on Trades and give the learners a full on, more accurate view of the Building and Construction Industry.
