Course Description

This Semester course will be an introduction & follow on from level 1 Pacific studies with more in-depth exploration to different Pacific Histories, values of Pacific cultures and how Pacific people responded or resisted colonialism. This will allow us to know who we are, where we come from and what our future may hold. We will also look into story-telling and remember who we are through Pacific poetry and Pacific song lyrics. The learning that will take place in this course is in preparation for the TWO INTERNAL Assessments that you will be sitting during the Semester.
Recommended Prior Learning
A keen interest in Pacific Studies!
8+ credits in Level 1 Pacific Studies, L1 Social Studies or Level 1 Literacy (10 credits) or Approval of HOD Social Science,
Students also must have a good level of Literacy (as there is a lot of Research, Reading & Writing)
