Year 10 Classic desserts and food gifts
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms D. Corban.
This course is not for the light-hearted foodie. You will learn classic culinary skills to create and present classic desserts. The emphasis is on learning techniques and processes and using them to create beautiful culinary delights.
Learners will develop their own food line and put together food gifts to share/sell.
From year 10 students will have a choice to follow pathways into the vocational Hospitality Service industry or the University Food Science industry.
Course Overview
Semester B
Learning the art of making classic dessert dishes. Many of these use complex french cuisine processes but the end results will blow your mind.
Make your own food line creating food gifts to sell or present to others as gifts. Expect to accumulate a basket of goodies over your time in this course.
